+ Positives

• Plenty of input connections (5 total).
• Light matte coating for clear image quality along with less glare.
• Very good quality stand that has become standard with Dell's UltraSharp line. Includes height adjustment, tilt, and swivel.
• W-LED backlight keeps the monitor running nice and cool.
• PWM isn't used for backlight dimming, so no problems for those sensitive to flicker.
• Very accurate color calibration out of the box at factory default.
• Contrast ratios are very high for an IPS monitor with better than average black levels.
• Very good viewing angles which are to be expected from an IPS panel.
• Overall panel uniformity is excellent with little to no noticeable backlight bleed and a uniformity compensation feature that actually works.
• Pixel response is fast enough to handle fast scenes in movies and videos without any problems.
• Lots of options for aspect ratio control including a auto mode and 1:1 pixel mapping.

- Negatives

• Input lag is a little high by default (around 25ms) and only slightly lower with the included game mode (18ms) that bypasses much of the internal processing, so not ideal for hardcore gamers, but good enough for the casuals.
• Somewhat strange aspect ratio of 21:9 may not work well with some applications, games, or other content optimized for 16:9 and the vertical resolution feels somewhat limited for this monitor size.
