  • Review: This Board has all the features to be scalable with future products, USB 3.0, 6GB SATA, 4 PCI-E slots.

No problems at all with initial startup, works like a charm.

  • Review: The first motherboard I got from Amazon did not work, but luckily Amazon's return process was great and the second motherboard worked fine with my i7-930. I have a feeling that the first one was old stock that was incompatible with the i7-930 (older BIOS) but the newer one works just fine!

  • Review: This board is overall one of my favorites. Originally I was a little iffy buying from a brand like Gigabyte, but they truly give a lot of bang for the buck.

I built my own rig with this motherboard, and what stood out the most were how many PCI (and PCI-e) slots I could utilize, the USB 3.0, and the Smart Energy Saver tech or something named similar.

Very good board. Recommended this to many people already.

  • Review: Bit-tech UK has a great review on this board, read it before buying! I love that it has 10 SATA ports, but I wish it had 2 ethernet ports. Not a big deal. This motherboard is the base for my current system, which includes the Intel i-7 930 clocked at 3.8GHz with a Corsair H50 cooler, the Cooler Master Silent Pro 1000W PSU, 6GB of G.Skill 1600MHz RAM clocked at 1800MHz, and an Intel SSD. I'm waiting to buy a couple of GTX 460 cards to replace the 8800GTS, or maybe some HD 5850s if the prices come down. It is all housed in a Cooler Master HAF 922, a roomy case which is the little brother of the excellent HAF 932. The motherboard has plently of status lights, and a "Clear CMOS" button on the I/O panel. This board performs just as well as the more expensive Asus and EVGA boards, check the reviews. The only reason to get the other boards would be for the frills, and I didn't need any. Thanks Gigabyte!

  • Doesn't support i7-930 (Gigabyte CS horrible)

  • Review: Found out the hard way after installing everything that this board doesn't support I7-930. I did my homework and checked Gigabyte's website before I purchased this and it listed the 930 as a supported processor. Gigabyte CS was very unhelpful. They refused to take responsibility, they kept blaming was Amazon's stock was old and does not have the updated BIOS. They offered to RMA the board and flash the BIOS for "free" but they refused to pay for shipping saying it was a risk I had to assume since I chose to build my own PC's.

I returned this to Amazon and got the Asus P6X58D-E for ~$25 more. Very pleased with the Asus board.

This item should have gotten 0 stars. The 2 stars are for Amazon's CS and how they handled the return process.
